Overcome the false-consensus bias

UX designers should not assume that people that will use the application think and act like them.

Using friends and family or even worse putting ourselves in the shoes of the end-user to test the result of our work is like shooting our leg.

This is a psychological effect named false consensus, and UX experts should avoid it.

Testing with real users through proper usability testing is the only way to ship the right products for the right target group
